October 15th 2016 Students Layla Renshaw and Logan Dennis participate in Global Youth Institute of World Food Prize in Des Moines Iowa. Layla and Logan presented research and joined students and world leaders at this global summit on food security.
May 20th 2016 Gabby Morris Senior will be interning as Wallace Carver Fellow (USDA) in Utah this summer. Gabby is one of two high school students selected for this honor.

Gabby will present her research and collaborate with students and international leaders on Global issues. Gabby did her research on climate change impacts in country of Ghana.

March 30, 2015 Carmara Jones and Gabby Morris traveled to Houston Texas this weekend to participate in MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences) national conference. March 10,2015 Parkside 4h/FFA/MANRRS receive Farmers Grow Communities award. We are grateful to the Monsanto Co. and in particular Mr Lee Richardson of Williards who designated Parkside for this award. Thank you Amy Rhodes of Wicomico Extension for support in the administration of this award. Funds will be used to purchase beekeeping equipment and camera to document the plants we grow.

We are fortunate to have this wonderful and unique extension educator initiative as part of our instruction. August 15, 2014 Brian Colliton finished summer research paper on Extension work in Ghana. This research paper was nomination process as Brian became first Maryland delegate to the Global Youth Institute of the World Food Prize. This international annual symposium will be this October in Des Moines Iowa.
